Our History

Since its beginning as a suburban church in 1899, Holy Trinity has grown with the South Granville/Fairview neighbourhood of Vancouver from Pine to Hemlock. From 1912 to 1993, the church was located at 10th and Pine.

The growth of the congregation in the late 1980s led to the decision to move into a larger facility. Our current historic (1911) Chalmers site at 12th and Hemlock was purchased in 1991, and after extensive renovations, the building re-opened in the spring of 1994 as Holy Trinity’s new home.

Holy Trinity has traditionally embraced unity in diversity. While seeking to maintain our biblical and Anglican heritage, we  welcome those who express that faith differently.  It is our desire to help people who are strangers to Christ’s love and forgiveness to discover what it means to be his follower and to equip those who already know Jesus to grow in their faith and ministry.
